What’s New — Version 2.4.33
Updates and Improvements
- Allows the CSx Via to provide a firmware update for all TruSense-enabled cameras with version 2074 and above. After installing software version 2.4.33 onto your CSx Via, connect to a TruSense camera to update its firmware to version 2092. Firmware 2092 applies adjustments to the camera’s color output to reduce red hue and improve visibility in some in-pipe environments.

This is a standby mode behavior. To conserve power, standby mode turns off the camera and the camera LEDs when not in use. CSx Via will enter standby mode if not used for the first 5 minutes. CSx Via will also enter standby mode as soon as the app is closed (or put into background mode by the phone or tablet operating system). To “wake up” the system, simply open HQx Live and navigate to the live screen.
Your mobile phone or tablet must support 5 GHz Wi-Fi and have both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled (all iOS devices supported by HQx Live should support 5 GHz, some Android devices only support 2.4 GHz).
All CSx monitors need to be powered on for HQx Live to discover them and allow you to connect. Only the CSx Via can be discovered when it is powered off, allowing HQx Live to turn it on, and connect.
The GPS location of the mobile phone or tablet is included in images and videos captured with HQx Live. This information cannot be viewed during playback, but many applications (like Apple’s photo gallery) can show the location of where the image was captured on a map.
To install the CSx Via onto a SeeSnake Standard or Mini, insert the CSx Via into the Mount accessory and rotate it into the lock position. For all other SeeSnake camera reels, remove the slip-ring connector, insert the CSx Via into the cavity, and rotate it into the “lock” position. Click here to learn more.
All currently sold SeeSnake camera reels are compatible with the CSx Via. The SeeSnake Standard and Mini require the CSx Via Mount accessory.
Yes! The HQx Dock accessory is designed to let you mount your tablet onto a SeeSnake camera reel. Read our support page on the HQx Dock to learn more.
The CSx Via is a “bring your own screen” solution to video pipe inspections. Like all CSx devices, it’s compatible with all currently available RIDGID® SeeSnake® camera reels. The CSx Via streams live video directly to a mobile device with HQx Live or Windows device with SeeSnake HQ. You can also easily capture, organize, and share media.
The CSx Via can be powered by a RIDGID Li-Ion 18 V Li-Ion battery, a Lucid 18.5 V Lithium Polymer battery, or a Makita 18 V Li-Ion battery.
